- Papps doggie Conformation classes will resume starting with Session 1 in January 7, 2025.
- Susan is now a licensed AKC Obedience judge for the non-regular classes and AKC Fetch.

We will continue to disinfect the building. We are starting to allow a limited number of visitors come to observe. We do require an adult present for junior handlers.
Conformation class will be held indoors for the next few weeks and will be by reservation. Please reserve your slot with Lois at 330-317-0265. You may also call her if there is a question due to weather.

- Announcing: Susan is now an AKC (American Kennel Club) Fetch judge.
When dog owners are asked about activities they like to do with their dogs, the most common responses are to take their dog for a walk, and to play ball (fetch).
AKC Fetch titles were created as another activity in which owners could have fun with their dogs in the AKC Family Dog program. Earning AKC Fetch titles provides both physical and mental exercise.
While some dogs are natural retrievers, AKC Fetch is designed for all breeds, and is a pass-fail noncompetitive test. The four levels of titles (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Retriever) assess the ability of the dog to retrieve. In the Advanced and Retriever levels, the dog must respond correctly to signals. There is also a memory component in Advanced and Retriever because a retrieving bumper or ball is dropped (or thrown) behind a blind where it cannot be seen.
PAPP's NEXT SESSIONS
- Conformation Class/run thru has resumed every Tuesday at 6:30. Cost is $10 cash or check per handler.
- Next Puppy Class for puppies at least 8 weeks old but under 4 months old will begin Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
- Next new session is scheduled to begin the week of April 28, 2025, with beginner’s classes on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night, 6:30-7:30.
- Papps Dog Services will host another Canine Emergency Preparedness seminar presented by Teresa West-Holmes, a licensed veterinary tech, sometime in the Fall of 2025.
