Balanced training in conformation, obedience, rally, and puppy classes

Papp’s Dog Services moved in 2005 to a larger facility located at 881 W. Waterloo Road, Akron, Ohio, 44314. We have two training rooms now, which allows flexibility and more scope for events like Rally and Agility. Puppy Class lasts four weeks at one hour per week. All other classes are for eight weeks at one hour per week. We teach you about Canine behavior, and guide you through the training of your dog to perform up to the recognized standards for Companion Dog (CD), Companion Dog Excellent (CDX), Utility Dog (UD), Rally, and Agility.

-- Kirstin N. Boddy, DVM, MS, DACVIM(c) and Flower the Pittbull Terrier:

I just wanted to send you a "Thank you!" from my dog Flower and myself. Your enthusiasm, patience and skill in teaching me how to better communicate with my high-energy girl was just what both she and I needed. Training at Papp's Dog Services with Susan and the other teachers is always fun and rewarding. You have a great group of teachers who are very patient, accommodating and understanding of each person and their dogs' unique situation and personality; it really made me feel understood and helped me understand my dog that much better.I finally feel that I have found the perfect fit for both Flower and myself. Great program, great class, great teachers – always great fun!

Papp's Dog Services is wonderful! I can’t say enough good things about the curriculum or the staff. The Susan Jenkins and her staff are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and responsive. It’s great to have someone to answer any training question I possibly have. The classes are well-organized, and the instructors give good attention to each dog and owner. The instructors are genuinely there for their students and completely invested in our success. I love that you're not just another student there; after just a week of class, they knew both me and my dogs by name. I have taken Beginner Obedience and Rally class with my adult dog, Kin-dah and regularly attend their drop-in style Conformation practice, too. I am also excited to begin Puppy class with our newest 4-legged family member, Bro. Susan and our class instructors are always happy to see us, and my dogs and I are equally happy to see them each week. We have had tremendous fun training at Papp's Dog Services and look forward to attending many more classes in the future.
